#Written by Carol Sandler:

Art has been a vital part of my life since childhood. I was raised loving nature in general, and gardens and flowers in particular, and early on developed a deep appreciation of the way artists use their talent not only to reflect what they see, but to express their personal vision of the world around them.

My muses are Claude Monet and Pierre Bonnard. Their work has influenced the colors, shapes, and settings I have applied to my paintings and drawings and my desire to share the natural settings and landscapes of the place in which I live and the places to which I travel with those who view my work. I pride myself on being a multi-faceted artist and especially like to work in watercolor, oil, charcoal and, at times, pastels.

Over the past ten years I have studied art, drawing, and painting with artist Carmella Yager at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I have also taken courses at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts and the Cape Cod Art Association. I am a member of the Cape Cod Art Association, the Yarmouth Art Guild and serve on the board of The Cotuit Center for the Arts. Recently I was one of the featured artists in the 2007 Summer/Autumn Art Edition of Cape Cod Life. You can read the article on my website as well as see some of my most current work.
